How to Back Up ROES

To back up your ROES files (useful when upgrading to a new computer or OS), follow the instructions below (make sure ROES is closed while doing this)

WINDOWS:

  1. Using explorer, navigate to %userprofile%\

  2. Select the .RichmondProLabROES folder

  3. Copy (ctrl-c) that folder, and Paste (ctrl-v) the folder into your desired back up location (external hard drive, etc).

  4. To restore: On your new computer, after reinstalling ROES, navigate to %userprofile%\ and Paste the .RichmondProLabROES folder from your back up location into the new location. If it asks to overwrite, click okay/yes.

  5. Your ROES files have now been restored (including favorites/packages)

MAC:

  1. Open Finder and in the top menu click Go and select Go to folder from the list

  2. Copy and paste ~/.RichmondProLabROES and click Go/Open

  3. Copy these files to a folder into your back up location.

  4. To restore: on your new computer, after reinstalling ROES, navigate to that same folder and paste those files, replacing any files currently there.

  5. Your ROES files have now been restored
